"Love love love the people working here and the atmosphere. I appreciate that they have a mushroom option for vegans and vegetarians. The taste was good, though not super memorable or special. The olives were nice, and we think the toast my husband had was a type of fake crab, but he enjoyed it. If in the area again, we'll definitely go back. Fingers crossed that they add more vegetarian options."

"We went to so many of the Michelin-recommended spots — including Ganbara — and honestly, this place blew every single one out of the water. The tuna, tempura shrimp, and meatball were unreal. Everything was perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and just felt fresh and thoughtful. The lighting here is definitely bright — not that cozy, warm glow you find in other places — but honestly, who cares when the food and the people are this good? The staff were so kind and welcoming, and every plate that came out was simple but the flavor was everything BUT!!! If you’re in San Sebastián and want incredible pintxos without the hype, Lasarte is the spot."

"We had the calamares, meatballs with potatoes, and beef fillet. Everything tasted really good. The croquetas in the beef fillet dish was filling and delicious. The table beside us had ordered risotto and mushroom portions and those looked tasty as well. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Prices were reasonable. All in all, great value for money and we would happily eat here again. We would also recommend this place to others."

"Everything on the menu was unbelievably good!! Highly recommended. Amazing food and very nice staff. We had meatballs, squids, duck and eel & pawn salad was best we are in San Sebastian. All of them were wooow!! White light in the seating area should change to yellow or amber though would be more cozy…"

"We stopped here for Pintxos. And wow they did not disappoint! We went with their recommendations: prawn crepe and sirloin skewer - delicious! When they recommend something, you listen. The prawn crepe was definitely our favourite. The cold cut meat (sorry I don’t know if it’s salami or other, but it was fatty and delectable!) with a blue cheese and sardine weren’t overpowering, all in funky balance. We also had the carne de bola and prawn skewer, absolutely LOVED these. Prawns are super sweet and the bola was cheesy and savoury. All round WIN"

"We loved the staff and the food! Everything was really good especially the chipiron plancha vinagre, merluza al horn con patatas and the crepe. Atmosphere was nice and it was really comfy compared to other restaurants around."

"Hidden gem! Dont let the poor lighting and interior fool you. This place serves top tier food at very good prices! As a group of 3 we ordered about 10 items from the menu to share. All were amazing, particularly meatballs, grilled squid and duck impressed us. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. 5/5 recommended!"
